STORY
This specific guitar was gifted for my 27th birthday. I chose it specifically because who wouldn’t like a sparkly red baritone in their arsenal? Especially one that resembles the likeness of the cartoon character of Jessica Rabbit.
A fiercy contender was the Gretsch G5260 baritone - famously known for being used by Erik Bickerstaffe from Loathe. Yes I admit, I wanted this guitar because of Loathe. The very moment I discovered ‘I let it in and it took everything’ I couldn’t stop playing it for the following month. If I had to count the amount of back-to-back plays of this album I’d have to guess about 30 - it’s just so unbelievably good!
Even though this instrument has not been used yet in released music, the moment it arrived on my doorstep the creative juices flowed richly and immediately birthed the idea for a 4-track EP that is still in construction at the time of writing this.
