STORY
Even though this guitar is not quite up to par when compared to the Bugatti’s of the guitar-making world - AKA Mayones - this Spear holds its own fine enough in the starting stringed instrument department.
Acquired through an equal-trade-deal, I swapped my then 1 year old Ibanez ART 500e; the first guitar I bought with my hard-earned money. I found myself not jelling with the super high output EMG pickups, especially combining the bee-buzzing ‘Insane’ channel on my starter Line 6 Spider IV amplifier. Hence, a trade with a Belgian lad who was willing to give up on his Spear.
Not too long after I found myself curious after 7-string guitars and convinced my then guitar teacher to sell me his trusty ol’ Ibanez RG7620, causing me to abandon this guitar. It’s been collecting dust ever since
