CONCEPTUAL IDEA & BACKGROUND
This EP tells a dark tale of a rise from the ashes. An unnamed sinister figure has decided that in this world only he is the one that can bring a change to the status quo. This only comfortable for the higher beings and all their creations, strong and weak are left to suffer beneith their rule. The Gods need to be overthrown.
Purpose is the debut EP release for NiU. It has evolved from one of the very first finished complete projects. Initiation of this project began in the closing end of 2021 with the first draft ready start 2022. The project - in this state - however didn’t quite get to see the daylight until early 2024. Reason being a constant reinterpretation with new instrumentation. The first versions brought a down-pitched 8-string rumble to the table. Later iterations revise this to 7-string guitar riffs and fresh aetherial leads.
